The Party Shack has party pinatas available for so many party themes such as pirate, animals, mexican / fiesta, rock n' roll and many more. Not only are pinatas great as a party game but also doubles as a party decorations or centrepiece.
Origin of Pinatas
The Pinata was invented by the Native Mexicans and for centuries they have been using Pinatas for all sorts of occasions, even before the arrival of the Spanish in South America. Pinatas are probably the most popular party game all over the world for children & adults. Pinatas are available in many shapes, characters and colours such as Wiggles, Dora The Explorer, Thomas The Tank Engine through to more traditional shapes such as the burro, mexican star & cactus.
When the Pinata breaks it's contents being lollies, novelties, scatterfetties etc fall to the ground then everybody scrambles to grab their share of the treasures. This is generally an outdoors party game however we have pull string pinatas available for indoor use and are perfect for younger children as they do not require to hit the pinata with a stick, they tack turns in pulling a ribbon.
How to Use Pinatas
First a queue is formed and each participant is given a turn to be blind folded and then strike the Pinata three times with a decorative pinata buster. If the Pinata does not break another person is given a turn.
Please Note: There are many different statements made about where the Pinata originated from and it is impossible to be 100% sure which is correct. The history of the Pinata featured in this website is based on the most popular information sourced
